Born in Tripolis. Raised in Cairo and Stuttgart.
So it's only natural that Michael Samak studied Business Administration in Mannheim as well as Islamic Studies in Heidelberg, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts.
After he´s Master of Management he started his career with Siemens consultancy in Munich. But he soon realised that his true passion was for advertising. Communication. Creativity. Pictures. Stories. Mysteries.
In short: The consolidation of complex issues into strong emotions.
And exactly what Saatchi & Saatchi, the Lovemarks company, has developed as its philosophy: Turning brands into Lovemarks to pin them firmly into the hearts of consumers.
In 1998 Michael Samak started as an account manager at Saatchi & Saatchi. At first for Procter & Gamble, then later for the Deutsche Telecom, Emirates, SCHOTT Solar and Sony Ericsson, to mention but a few.
In 2003 Michael Samak became Managing Director and since 2008 has been the CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Germany. Under the leadership of Michael Samak the agency has won clients such as Toyota, Scout24, Volvo, Vivesco, World of Warcraft and Senseo and has launched S&S Düsseldorf.
In 2010 his duties also extended to that of CEO for Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland.
Michael Samak, Professor Hans H. Bauer and Daniel Heinrich are the editors of the compendium "Experiential Communications - Critical Success Factors for the Marketing Industry" appearing in September 2011, published by Springer Verlag.
