Gegen Hass im Netz

Hate begins where the truth ends.
According to the World Economic Forum misinformation is a greater short-term threat to our society than climate change. More and more people are believing in more and more different narratives that have less and less to do with the truth: Social division, radical views and, ultimately, hatred are widespread consequences. The continuation of Telekom's multi-award-winning GHIN campaign therefore had to evolve and address the issue of "disinformation".
On social media, it becomes increasingly difficult to tell what is real and what is fake. Generative artificial intelligence is enhancing this development. Every time we share something mindlessly, we add fuel to the fire. We needed to let people know how dangerous disinformation truly is – and empower them to stop the wildfire by simply asking one important question.
To ensure a story like this is told in the most cinematic way, we worked with award-winning director Nora Fingscheidt. Her work includes groundbreaking films like “Systemsprenger“, “The Unforgivable“ with Sandra Bullock, and currently “The Outrun”. She is regarded as one of Germany’s most promising and most interesting feature film directors. This was her first 60-second film. Turns out, she is amazing in that format, too.
